I'm CRAZIER than I thought!!!

YES MOTORCROSS I AM COMPLETELY NUTS!!!!

So about 3 weeks ago, my friend called and asked me if I wanted to sign Jaxon up for a mini motorcross race. I told her I thought that it sounded fun, go ahead and sign us up. Jaxon got a little 50 motorcycle for his birthday last year...thanks to dad:) Anyway we were suppose to be at the track around 0830 to register and sign a waiver...for all you girls who don't have kids yet, waiver is code for DONT DO IT!!! I should know that by know. So we got the "don't do it" card signed and Ryan helped Jax on the track to do a practice run. At this point I was pacing along the side of the fence as Sky sat in the lawn chair and had breakfast.

I don't think Sky will ever want to ride a motorcycle unless it's in a parade and she gets to wear a fancy crown! Thank goodness
Well the practice run went well and I was feeling better about this whole motorcross racing idea. The kids were put into catagories based on the size of their bike and all the catagories got to race twice.
Jaxon did really well. We told him just to go and have a good time. He didn't need to win just finish and had fun. The problem was that everytime he would go around the track his confidence would build and he would go a little fast. Well thats a recipe for trouble. On race one he went to go around and turn and his breaks slipped down under the handbar and he couldn't reach them so he jump, yes I said jumped over the brim of the track and crashed.ugh About 3 dads ran out to help him including his, he was ok a little upset but hopped back on his bike and finished the race. We got the brakes fixed just in time for race number 2. Ryan was trying to show him how to shift up and down, he is really good at shifting down just not up, he also need to work on not pulling the gas while trying to put on the breaks :( thats what got us into trouble in race 2. Once again he jumped a brim of the track and was headed right for this huge pipe thing. Luckily it was right were Ryan I were sitting. Ryan seen him coming and jumped of and tried to slow him down. He slowed down a bit but still hit the pipe thing prettey hard and when we picked him up of the ground he was a little dazed and confused. At this point I am thinking "This is pure craziness, what the HELL are we doing here!!! Excuse the laugage but holy crap my kid just about killed himself and I am the one who signed the "dont do it"card and paid the entry fee. I'm so lucky to have a awesome and calm husband who took care of the whole situation and bless Jaxon's little heart, he got back on his bike and finished the race!!!!! Everyone should know if I was the one picking up his limp dazed little body I would of had him in the car headed for home as fast as the hummer would have taken us, and the dirt bike would have gone to the first kid that walked by.
Anyway, Jaxon did great minus the 2 mishaps that happened. I am so proud of him for finishing and as we were driving home he asked if we could go race next weekend. Ryan and I told him no, this is an once a year activity!!!!
